Current Opening Hours:
SchafbergBahn cog railway will start operating on 08 May on Saturdays and Sundays as well as on 13 and 14 May. From 21 May, SchafbergBahn cog railway will start operating daily.

Kindly note that the Eateries on Schafberg are currently closed and will open on 21 May 2021.

Safety Regulations:
It is compulsory to wear a FFP-2 mask at all attractions. All capacities are reduced in accordance with statutory regulations.

Austria’s steepest cog railway has been running from St. Wolfgang up the Schafberg since 1893. The train takes 35 minutes to cover a total distance of 5.85 kilometers, rising 1190 vertical meters. And one thing is for certain: The memorable experiences already begin during the journey to the top.
