Due to the renewed onset of winter, the SchafbergBahn will remain closed until Thursday 25.04.2024.
The Schafberg cog railway is operating to the station Schafbergalm (1,364 m) on Saturday and Sunday in good weather. Tickets are available in our webshop two to three days prio to the desired date.

April 20 - April 26(daily)
From April 27. the SchafbergBahn will be operationg daily to the Schafbergspitze!

Restaurant EQ
Restaurant EQ in the SchafbergBahn's ErlebnisQuartier is open daily from 10.00 - 23.00. From April 6, breakfast will be served daily from 09:00 - 11:00 on the terrace and/or in the Cafe & Restaurant EQ. Further information about the restaurant can be found here.
With our new ticket, dogs travel at a flat rate of € 7.00. The day pass is valid for all regular trips on the SchafbergBahn cog railway and WolfgangseeSchifffahrt ferries.
Please note that dogs must be secured with a muzzle and leash and require a valid ticket.
Children up to the completed age of 4 for whom no seat is required, will be transported at no charge. Children ages 4 to 14 receive the discounted rate.
Unforunately, prams cannot be taken along, there is a place where they can be parked.
The family price is valid for 2 adults and their own children (ages 4 to 14).
The discounted family price is granted to families, who are owning an Austrian family card (Österreichische Familienkarte) or a Salzkammergut Erlebnis-Card.
The family "light" price is valid for 1 adult and his/her own children (ages 4 to 14).
The discounted family "light" price is granted to families, who are owning an Austrian family card (Österreichische Familienkarte) or a Salzkammergut Erlebnis-Card.
The group price is valid for groups of 10 or more.
The discounted prices are valid for owners of a Salzkammergut Erlebnis Card.
