The Magic of Winter

While the SchafbergBahn cog railway and WolfgangseeSchifffahrt ferries are not in operation in the winter months, the three treasures in the city of Salzburg invite you to take idyllic walks high above the rooftops of the city. In every season of the year, the wooded Mönchsberg is a real natural jewel with forests and meadows, secret paths and stone stairs, ruins and castles.

SchafbergBahn cog railway and WolfgangseeSchiffahrt ferries

From 02.03.2024, our two treasures in the Salzkammergut start the season again.

The SchafbergBahn cog railway starts again with trips to the Schafbergalm station at 1,364 m (Saturday and Sunday).
The WolfgangseeSchifffahrt ferries will then be back in operation with the spring timetable.

Museum WasserSpiegel

The WasserSpiegel museum is closed from 08.01.2024 - 02.02.2024.

From 03.02.2024 the museum will be open again on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 - 16.00.
